Wilderness Turns 50
The Wilderness Act celebrates its 50th anniversary on September 3, 2014. The Smithsonian joins national celebrations with a new exhibit at the National Museum of Natural History. Produced in partnership with Nature’s Best Photography and Wilderness50, the exhibit features juried photographs of our nation’s wilderness areas selected from over 5,000 entries, revealing America as you've never seen it before – wild, untouched and free.
We invite you to vote for your favorite! Each month, the photograph with the most votes will be highlighted as that month's winner. Votes are limited to just one person per day, but come back often to make sure your favorite is selected.
